Meanwhile, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi revealed the names of 10 MPs who filed in the highest amount in expenditure for their official trips abroad from 2004 to 2006 – totalling more than RM600,000.

In a written reply to Fong Po Kuan (DAP – Batu Gajah), Abdullah said that on the top of the list was Dr Rozaidah Talib (BN – Ampang), who made 11 overseas trips in the two years, chalking up RM141,391.06 in expenses.

Abdullah said Dr Rozaidah attended several meetings organised by the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association as a member of the South-East Asian Commonwealth Women Parliamentary and part of her expenses such as air fares were paid for by the association.

Also on the list were Datuk Dr Raman Ismail (BN – Gombak), whose expenditures hit RM116,834.26 (for five trips); Datuk Raja Ahmad Zainuddin Raja Omar (BN – Larut) RM100,955 (four trips); Datuk Markiman Kobiran (BN – Hulu Langat) RM69,440.72 (eight trips); Dr Junaidy Abdul Wahab (BN – Batu Pahat) RM60,812.27 (eight trips); Datuk Seri Syed Razlan Ibni Syed Putra Jamalullail (BN – Arau) RM38,659.28 (six trips); Datuk Idris Haron (BN – Tangga Batu) RM33,686.80 (three trips); Razali Ibrahim (BN – Muar) RM17,395.75 (two trips); Datuk Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar (BN – Santubong) RM14,312 (two trips); and Datuk Tan Lian Hoe (BN – Bukit Gantang) RM9,597.50 (three trips).
