These are some photos I pulled out from my archive. Pictures of the Straits of Malacca during low tide at the fishing village.

Fishing nets, rolls and coils of it!

The Mud Skippers. They are actually quite fun to watch!

The low tide view of the Straits. See the long jetty on the left?

Now that’s something you can do in BP if you want to enjoy the breeze of the Straits of Malacca.
How to get there?
Drive along Jalan Ampuan, and you can then follow the road signs now that says Minyak Beku. Just drive into the kampungs, people are friendly. Actually near where this pictures are taken, there’s a temple there that is frequently visited by people from outside BP.

There are many clinics in Batu Pahat. Many have been around for a long long time. I am sure each of you have your favourite clinics that you go to. For our family, it is Dr Tan from Klinik Rakyat (5-2, Jln Zabedah, Tel: +607 431 6551) and Dr Ng from Klinik Malaysia (28, Jln Rahmat, Tel: +607 434 1064).
Recently, one reader went to this new 24 hour clinic in Batu Pahat and commented that is nice and impressive. Another went to the doctor and said that he should put some pictures here for the rest to see.
Dr Tiang WY sent me some pictures of his beautiful clinic. It looks different ya? You might have mistaken it for a spa centre!
The clinic as it looks from the front.

The reception.

The waiting area.

So, if you happen to visit Batu Pahat and happen to need a doctor, this 24 hour clinic might be what you need!

(near main road that leads to Carrefour Batu Pahat)
(Disclaimer: I receive no fee for publishing this. It might be convenient for people visiting Batu Pahat who might need medical attention.)

That was the headline at Bernama’s website.

Some snippets:
JOHOR BAHARU, Sept 19 (Bernama) — Work to provide Johor with a comprehensive flood mitigation project, estimated to cost RM6 billion, has started with the appointment of companies as consultants to carry out a study and submit proposals on the plan to prevent a recurrence of the big floods which hit the state last year and early this year.

My colleague who is from Sarawak, teased and said, sure or not?
Johor going to pour so much money down the drain ah? He was sharp eh? Double meaning!
