Pantai Minyak Beku

Is there a beach in Batu Pahat? Oh yes there is!

Selamat Datang ke Pantai Minyak Beku. (Welcome to the Minyak Beku Beach)

Minyak Beku

But it’s not the sandy beach that you would expect like in Sabah or Penang or the islands around Malaysia. It’s a rocky beach. Yup it is in Batu Pahat and Batu means rock. haha…

The beach is more for people who wants to view the sea, the Straits of Malacca. It is also where fishing enthusiast spend their afternoons. Fishing competitions are held here from time to time. It is the time where you will see lots and lots of people around this place.

With rocks this big, you would not want to swim here right? haha….

Used to camp at this beautiful spot during the 70′s. Had lots of good times fishing and collecting oysters as well as mussels during those days.

Sadly, rock blastings have reduced the whole place to a mess.

Can you please post some pics from Kampong Segentin? Wonder how much the place has changed after all these years.

Interesting, can you provide some simple directions on how to go there? I’m a visitor from Penang and have been in BP for about 5 months now. Your website has been relatively helpful, but I really need further aides to talk me through into finding wonderful places such as these :P Thanks!

Never mind, I found the Minyak Beku Beach and the Batu Pahat Perigi as well as the Hutan Lipur Soga Perdana. Thanks for the pictures that served as a very important guide. Keep up the good work!

Perhaps you could tell us more about getting to Taman Negara Kukup and Taman Negara Tanjung Piai and their wonderful attractions as well. I’ve never been there, but I’ve heard much about it and seen the road signs planted near the Simpang Rantai Roundabout. Heard its quite a bang over at that place!
