Kampung Merdeka just before CNY
It’s been a while since I posted something. Hope that all are doing well.
This is just before 9 AM on 24 Jan 2009. Other than the “Pasar Besar” and the market along Jalan Mohd Akil, many residents in BP visit Kampung Merdeka to buy their meat, seafood and vegetables.
This corner provision shop is also a mini fish market. You can see the containers of fish that’s being cut up.
Also, the chicken and pork sellers.

Something that you can’t miss in Kampung Merdeka is the huge building, the new Police District Headquarters.

Others have breakfast at the few shops around here, others buy their vegetables.

You can’t miss the “Carrot Cake” sellers. The Chai Tow Kueh being fried smells so so good.

Wishing all who celebrates the Lunar New Year a very Blessed New Year.

where can we get the best chai tow kueh in BP? preferably selling at night time.
Two place I can think of. One is at BP Garden, he used to sell in the food court now he sells in his own shop. He goes by the name Ah Hu. His shop has a kettle logo on it with the number if not wrong 414 (cant quite remember). This shop is closed on Tuesday. He sells normal chai tow kueh in the morning, at night he adds prawns and sotong to it.
The other is at the junction of Jalan Soga to Jalan Sultanah. This one someone told me still wrap his chai tow kueh the old school way, with dried leaves.
yeah both chai tau kueh tried…they have their taste. but still prefer ah hu at taman makmur. because his youngest daughter is beautiful…hahaha….why beautiful girl always attached!!!!!!
