I had lunch at this restaurant today, its owned by a chinese boss but the food is cooked by a Malay lady. There is no halal certification here but I dont see them serving any pork here. So for the Muslim folks who dont mind going here.
The front of the shop as seen from Jalan Abu Bakar. This shop is situated beside Ming Court Dim Sum Shop.
The address for this restaurant is :-
Restaurant Young Recipes 183, Jalan Abu Bakar, 83000 Batu Pahat, Johor, Malaysia
The lunch I took, Curry Chicken with white rice. This is a nice set as the curry chicken is thick in coconut milk and also the portion is large too unlike other shops selling the same food.
My girlfriend has Nasi Briyani Ayam Merah, nice blend of sour and sweet flavor. The nasi briyani color might be different from what we used to consume, but the bunga cengkih smell is just nice not too overpowering.
After lunch you walk out and you look to your left, the lao pasar behind the old cheng siu. The one chano talked about. Sorry for the small picture, as it was a bloody hot afternoon and I was too lazy to take a closer look.
