How many of you all are from Montfort Primary School? On CNY eve, I dropped by Montfort to take some pictures of it. Talked to someone, but 'aiya', forgot to ask who he is. Maybe he is reading this?
I am sure many of you got lots of stories to tell about then Montfort's famous headmaster, Mr Long and also a few very famous teachers. I think most of you should remember the male teacher with the 'white ruler', Mr Niap. haha...
This picture is the Montfort Office. Remember that we have to stand in front there for assembly. They seem to have a signboard with "Kebanggaan Kami" covering some words behind. It was something like Brothers of St. Gabriel or something is it? Or was it something else.
I will be posting some of the photos up in the main website when I get some time. Anyone who has photos can also post them here.
Wow! BP's a small world. I lost contact with Andrew after Std. 6 in 1970. Though a very strict teacher, he was my favourite cos' of the values he instilled in all of us. So, is he still teaching in Monfort? I would like to contact him the next time I'm back in BP.
the words covered behind the sign "Kebanggaan Kami" should be "Primary School" or "School". I need to check back my kindergarten class photo to verify. and whose kelisa park till the office??????? should park at the car park beside the entrance of the shool mahh..
a few of HS famous teachers are: Mrs Ho (met her when i was having new year marketing with mum my last month), Puan Zaitun (who happens to be my classmates's mother, famous of blinking her eyes), Mr Foo Jit Chow (who is related to HS Superman Mr Foo Yong Lee) Mr Kao (maths teacher) the plum cikgu nizam who taught music (gave me a stupid nickname which i carried till now) the sporty cikgu zaba who taught sports (heard that he involved in court case related to student, which he gave up teaching, and changed job. but no worries, he can be found easily at BP, which he still remember my full name, we will greet each other everytime i go to find him, for his tauhu goreng! yes, is at FUJI.
I'm from class of 81 (Darjah 6). I remember there used to be a makeshift badminton court right where the school gate was, which also doubled up as carpark. Badminton regulars will remember. Don't see that in the photo now.
The canteen and toilet looks exactly the same. I remember the rumours that the 'tandas' was haunted? Boy, did that scare the shit out of many of us little boys...must go in pairs.
Anybody knows where Long Yun Siang (Mr Long's son) is now? Used to be close friends with him when we were little, then as all things go, we all lose touch....
The school change so much, almost beyond recognition. I am from class of 80 (Darjah 5 - biru)...same class of Long Yun Siang. Had attended a Chinese New Year reunion of my batch sometime in year 1989....since then lost all contact.
